The Ozarichi death camp in the Polesye swamps marked the first time in history that the Nazis employed biological warfare, epidemic typhus, on a mass scale. They used 50,000 women, children, and elderly civilians as a human shield to block the advancing Red Army. 

The German forces were aided by local collaborators from the 11th SS Schutzmannschaft Police Battalion. In the 1970s, they were finally brought to justice for their crimes. 

This documentary reveals how these state criminals were hunted down, what they confessed during the investigation, and how they behaved under interrogation. The film is based on declassified criminal case files from the Central Archive of the KGB of Belarus.
